Camp Kipwe

Kipwe Luxury Camp with Air Con near Twyfelfontein | Damaraland

Camp Kipwe offers luxury air-conditioned accommodation in Damaraland close to the World Heritage Site of Twyfelfontein in Namibia. The camp offers luxury accommodation in nine bungalows and one suite popular with honeymoon couples in Namibia. The bungalows provide twin-bedded accommodation which can be converted to a double bed. They also feature an en-suite outdoor shower and ablution built amongst the rocks. The suite consists of a luxury en-suite double room and lounge with a mini-bar, laundry service and satellite TV. The camp is child-friendly, so families are welcome.

The dome-shaped, round walled natural coloured bungalows blend in seamlessly with the surrounding gigantic granite boulders. The boulders are incorporated into various lodge areas, and natural touches are found throughout the camp. The camp offers sweeping views across the Aba Huab Valley – some of the most dramatic landscapes in Namibia can be seen in Damaraland. The bungalows each have a small deck and seating area and face towards the setting sun. Guests can retreat into privacy or enjoy a sundowner from here. A refreshing rock pool is available for guests to cool off in or lie under umbrellas and laze on deck chairs.

The main camp area is raised. Guests can use comfortable armchairs and sofas in the lounge to relax and enjoy the splendid views. All meals are served in the open-fronted and spacious dining area. Guests can also have a sundowner before dinner – sundowners take place from the top of a large boulder and watch as the African sunsets over the vast plains.
