A 4×4 adventure to Sandwich Harbour – for two decades Mola Mola have been taking thousands of guests to Sandwich Harbour. You will be driven by 4×4’s between the cold crashing Atlantic ocean and ancient sand dunes of the Namib Desert. From the top of these dunes one can experience the endless views of sand, sea and sky. Witness scenery that you have never encountered before – your memories are guaranteed to be with you for many years after. Our guests frequently comment that this adventure to Sandwich Harbour is the highlight of their travels.
The highlights of this trip include the Walvis Bay Lagoon, Walvis Bay saltpans, Kuiseb River Delta, Mudflats of Sandwich Harbour, dune-riding – including the 60m high Roaring Dune.
Despite the harsh conditions you may experience numerous wildlife and birds. Common sightings include Springbok, Black-backed Jackals, Oryx, Ostrich, Fog-basking beetle, Dancing spider (‘white lady of the Namib’), Golden mole, Shovel-snouted lizard and the Palmato gecko. Birds that are seen include Greater and Lesser Flamingos, pelicans, cormorants, White Chinned Petrel, Wilson’s Storm Petrel, Cape Gannet, Black Oystercatcher and Turnstones.
A light lunch and snacks in the dunes, toasted with sparkling wine are included. Soft drinks, water and Namibian beer are all included.

Half Day tours: 07h45 – 12h30 & 12h30 – 17h15 (other departure times on request).
Check in Time & Departure Point
Guests are required to check in at the Mola Mola office 30 minutes before departure. All Sandwich Harbour Tours depart from the Walvis Bay Waterfront.
Sandwich Harbour 4×4 Tours are conducted in English, German and Afrikaans.
Vehicles & Guides
All vehicles used are 4×4 vehicles and adhere to strict licensing and safety regulations. All guides are trained and experienced drivers and have gone through intense training.
The necessary safety equipment and first aid kits are provided.
Bring along some warm clothing as it can get cold.
