One of the best ways to truly experience Namibia’s beauty is by foot. Hiking allows visitors to Namibia to get up close and personal with the surrounding beauty and spectacular landscapes. The Naukluft mountains in the south of Namibia near Sossusvlei is one of the most popular hiking areas. Numerous walking trails are available both for the not so experienced hiker as well as for the more seasoned hiker. The Fish River Canyon is also very popular for hiking and offers an adventurous hike through the biggest canyon on the African continent. The Fish River Canyon Hike is about 85 km’s long and takes between 4-5 days to complete. A minimum of 3 people is required to book the Fish River Canyon hike. The Kavango and Zambezi (previously Caprivi Strip) is a network of rivers and teeming with wildlife. A boat cruise is highly recommended and one is able to view wildlife from a different perspective from a boat. Experience the colossal Hippopotamus. Popa Falls is a popular tourist attraction and Namibia Wildlife Resorts offer comfortable accommodation and boat cruises for those that wish to explore this area. Popa Falls forms part of KAZA  Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area).

Fishing is a popular activity and the Skeleton Coast is known for it’s rich marine life.  Terrace Bay and Torra Bay are well known fishing spots located along the Namibian Coastline in the north west region. If you are planning on visiting Namibia to go fishing then look no further. Please note that Torra Bay is only open in December and January.
