Nunda River Lodge

Come for a true Namibian experience and visit the Nunda River Lodge. Stay for two or more days while exploring the region before travelling to the Okavango Delta, East Caprivi, Zambia and Victoria Falls. The lodge has a large airy thatched structure in the main area, which comprises the reception, bar, wine cellar, dining area, well-stocked souvenir shop and a comfortable lounge. Here we have a large wooden deck that leads out of the main building, giving away spectacular views over the river. We also have a swimming pool in our well-maintained garden, surrounded by few sun loungers with sunshades.

Nunda River Lodge accommodation consists of seven spacious, tastefully furnished en-suite Meru tents, built on wooden decks as well as eight large thatched en-suite bungalows. All unit overlooks the river and feature a safe, mosquito net, electric fan, fresh drinking water and tea/coffee facilities. We have 4 more thatched en-suite chalets which are not facing the river. We also offer 9 campsites, which is one of the best on the river. Each campsite has braai facilities, water and electricity points, and is grassed and shaded.

Activities include a game drive to the Buffalo Park and Mahangu Game Reserve, boat trips, Mokoro trips, hiking, fishing, traditional village visits and birding. Guests can catch-and-release Tilapia, Sharptooth Catfish, Nembwe and the legendary Tiger fish. In the Game Reserve guests will be able to see wild dog, lion, leopard, elephant, Letchwe, hippo, buffalo, Sitatunga, crocodile and various antelopes.
