Oppi-Koppi Rest Camp

Oppi-Koppi Rest Camp is situated 70km away from Galton Gate, on the western entrance of Etosha Pan. It features a bar, laundry service, swimming pool and a restaurant. At the restaurant, guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner with Namibian and European cuisine.

Oppi-Koppi means “on a small hill” in the Afrikaans language. We speak English, Afrikaans, German, Dutch and French. It is a perfect location for the self-drive tourists to re-fuel and rest before continuing their journey towards Damaraland, Kaokoland, Epupa Falls and Skeleton Coast.

Accommodation

Our accommodation includes air-conditioned luxury rooms to standard and family rooms with a fan. Our budget rooms all have shared bathroom facilities. Each room has a coffee/tea station, sockets for charging phones, laptops, tablets, safe, terrace and free parking. Our campsites feature a power pole, water tap, barbeque facilities and ablution facilities with hot showers and clean bathrooms. The water at the lodge is completely filtered and safe for drinking.

Activities

The activities at Oppi-Koppi include hiking trails around the base of the hills and surrounding area; donkey rides to the local shebeen and Peet Albert’s Rock Engravings, where guests will see engravings of over 2,000 years old. We also offer a visit to the Himba Village just outside Kamanjab, to Etosha National Park and game drives around the rest camp.
