Daylight saving occurs during winter months and starts from the first Sunday of April and ends on the first Sunday of September i.e. GMT +1. Namibia reverts back to GMT +2 from the first Sunday of September to the first Sunday of April.
The Zambezi Region (previously Caprivi) is the only area in Namibia that does not change its time in winter months and stays on the same time as Botswana and South Africa.
Tourists must be aware of daylight savings and the time changes in winter months when crossing into neighbouring countries, as not all border crossings are open 24 hours.
