Mount Etjo Safari Lodge is situated in the heart of Okonjati Game Reserve, 225km north of Windhoek. The lodge was founded by Jan Oelofse, the world-renowned conservationist. The meaning of Etjo is “a place of refuge”. The lodge is ideal for small groups and managerial gatherings, and for the tourists travelling to Etosha National Park or further north to the Caprivi.

Mount Etjo offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, barbeque facilities, a children’s playground and free Wi-Fi in all rooms. At the main lodge we have a waterhole, where hippo, nyala and porcupine visit on a regular basis. Ornithologists can head down to the dam where they will find a bird waters paradise. Our continental breakfast is being served every morning at the property, while dinners are served in a rustic African-furnished lapa around the campfire. Our Accommodation includes Villas, Suites, Luxury Rooms, Elephant Lodge and Campsites. Most of them include air-conditioning, a minibar, DSTV, lounge and fireplace. We offer wheelchair friendly rooms as well.

Mount Etjo activities include hiking trails, a visit to the fossilized dinosaur tracks, game drives, lion feeding, and many more. Our game drives are usually in open vehicles. Guests will be able to see elephant, black and white rhino, zebra, hippo and many antelopes. Cheetah, leopard and lion are at home in the wildlife sanctuary. The Lion feeding is an exciting attraction. We also offer Rhino tracking in the Okonjati Game Reserve. Your stay with us will support our rhino orphanage and help generate funds for our anti-rhino horn poaching project.
