Stillhouse Atlantic

After days of exploring Namibia’s deserts or wildlife parks, many travellers arrive in Swakopmund ready to unwind with something unique. Stillhouse Atlantic, the town’s very own craft distillery, offers exactly that — small-batch spirits, hands-on tasting tours, and a warm atmosphere that blends coastal charm with artisanal flair. Stillhouse Atlantic is conveniently located in central Swakopmund, it’s a must-visit for gin enthusiasts, cocktail lovers, and anyone curious to discover Namibia’s handcrafted spirits.

Location & Setting

Situated near the iconic Hohenzollern Building, Stillhouse Atlantic combines the intimacy of a working distillery with the laid-back character of the coast. Visitors step into a rustic yet modern space where copper stills gleam, botanicals infuse the air, and every detail reflects passion for craft. The setting is intimate and welcoming, making it ideal for small groups, couples, or curious travellers looking for an authentic local experience.

Distillery Highlights

Stillhouse Atlantic is celebrated for its artisanal approach, producing spirits entirely by hand in limited batches. Each creation tells a story of Namibia’s natural abundance and coastal identity.

Highlights include:

  • Classic Stillhouse Gin – crisp, clean, and infused with locally inspired botanicals.
  • Stillhouse Wild – a pink gin layered with hibiscus, pink pepper, and citrus zest.
  • Umber Coffee Liqueur – crafted with locally roasted beans for a smooth, rich flavour.
  • Aromatic Bitters – spice-driven and perfect for cocktails.

Tasting tours guide visitors through the process, from raw botanicals to the finished product, with samples that showcase the range and creativity of the distillery. For those who want to enjoy this unique gin beyond the distillery, it’s featured at several Swakopmund restaurants, making it easy to pair with a meal or sample in a cocktail around town. Guests can also purchase gin directly from the distillery.

  • Swakopmund’s only craft distillery
  • Hand-crafted spirits with Namibian botanicals

Amazing gin and fantastic service. Sandy and the staff are wonderful and all of their gins are incredible. This is a great place for a cocktail or to pick up some stellar gifts to bring back home after a trip to Namibia. No visit to Swakopmund is complete without a stop here.

We were able to try two different gins, and both were very fine. We were also impressed by the bottle design. The table displays the various ingredients, including some very special ones from Namibia.
