Etosha Village sits in a private reserve on the C38, 4 km before Andersson Gate, Etosha’s southern entrance, and about 20 km from Okaukuejo. With rooms and campsites on one property, it suits families, tour groups and self-drive travellers visiting Etosha National Park.
What Makes Etosha Village Different
Etosha Village is laid out like a traditional northern Namibian village, with round rondavel-style buildings set in Mopane woodland. The reserve has its own waterhole, and a walking trail with lookout decks and hides for spotting small game. The restaurant is best known for its buffet dinners, and there’s an on-site shop and two smaller pools suited to children. Etosha Village is part of the Taleni Africa Group; sister property Etosha Trading Post, 5.5 km away, has fuel, a shop and a tyre workshop.
Accommodation at Etosha Village
Etosha Village has 55 air-conditioned, twin-bedded rooms. Each has an en-suite shower, a fold-out sleeper couch, an electronic safe, and a refreshment station with a bar fridge and tea and coffee. Outside there’s a private patio, a seating area and parking next to the room. Rooms aren’t self-catering. Two children under 12 can share the sleeper couch free of charge (meals charged) with two full-paying adults. Two wheelchair-friendly rooms have a ramp instead of steps, a larger bathroom and an adapted interior layout. Camping is separate, set in Mopane woodland. The 4 individual campsites each have a private ablution, power, water, lights and a braai. The 2 group campsites take up to 25–30 tents and have separate men’s and women’s ablutions. Campers have full use of the lodge’s restaurant, bar and pools.
