CAUTION - SAND ROADS: The roads here are soft sand - like on the beach - inches thick. I got stuck right outside my chalet. First time in my life. Instead of enjoying the sunset, I spent an hour walking back and forth from reception. Got stuck again next day - even 4WD will get stuck in sand like this. My time was limited, so I wish I had not stayed here. Also the road to the lodge has lots of sharp rocks. Poorly maintained. No one else uses this road. A lodge like this doesn’t seem to have much respect for its customers. Update: subtracting a star since this establishment has not bothered to reply to my review.

Camp is fine, lots of birds around, including hornbill, scrubfowl, sand grouse, even wood hoopoes if you walk around a bit. Elephants sometimes visit the camp.
Didn't like the rather impolite lady at the reception nor the lodge area particularly. Having a cheesy waterfall and fountain while children beg for water on the road to the lodge leaves a bad taste...

Not recommended. Upon arrival, you receive the key and the times for dinner and breakfast. That's it. There are far too few sun loungers and comfortable chairs by the pool. Many uncomfortable benches.
In need of renovation. I didn't feel comfortable.

What an amazing place. We camped there for 2 nights. The campsite we stayed in had hot water and solar lights in the outdoor bathroom.Went on a game drive to find the desert elephants. The lodge staff and management are amazing, especially the lodge manager who dropped off wood for us on both nights. We will definitely be back.

You go there for the views. Not for the pool, food or golf. The views, that’s what makes the place special . You have the most amazing view of Brandberg both for sunrise and sunset, whilst being in the middle of a green oasis, camping right in a river bed. The camping grounds are spread out and first come first serve, so you can pick one with an incredible view right from your tent 🙂

We stayed at Brandberg White Lady Lodge during our Namibia trip, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The staff at the reception and in the restaurant came across as rather inflexible and uninterested. For dinner there was very little choice, and guests were expected to take the full fixed menu.
The rustic tents were extremely basic and spread far apart over the property. The sandy terrain was difficult to drive on, and we saw several cars getting stuck in the loose sand. Overall, the lodge did not feel very welcoming or comfortable, especially considering the location and expectations we had.

While the lodge looks great and the staff is extremely friendly, the campground seems heavily underdeveloped. The amenities are super basic, the bathrooms are essentially just walls outside without the roof, which makes all the insects and cold air quite troublesome when the temperature drops. There’s definitely room for improvement in that department 🙂

We had a fantastic stay at Brandberg White Lady Lodge, just outside Uis, and would happily recommend it to anyone traveling through this beautiful part of Namibia.
The lodge is set in a truly spectacular location at the foot of the Brandberg Mountain, surrounded by dramatic desert landscapes and wide open skies. The setting is peaceful and scenic, and it feels like a perfect place to pause and enjoy the unique beauty of the region.
The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained, though fairly basic. That said, they have everything you need for a relaxing stay after a day of exploring the area. The simplicity actually fits very well with the remote desert environment and adds to the authentic charm of the lodge.
What really made the experience special was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. Their warmth and attentiveness created such a pleasant atmosphere and made us feel genuinely well looked after throughout our stay.
The lodge is also an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area, including the famous Brandberg and the White Lady rock painting, as well as the unique desert scenery around Uis.
Overall, Brandberg White Lady Lodge offers a beautiful location, warm hospitality, and great value. If you’re looking for a peaceful stop in a stunning desert setting with genuinely kind and helpful staff, this is a wonderful choice. Highly recommended!
